The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed in regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The provider place designed for intervention activities a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all consumers and maximize use of Social Assistance services,” the agency more info said.
